Description
Betula nigra ‘Summer Cascade’ (Weeping River Birch) is a graceful, weeping form of the North American River Birch, featuring elegant, arching branches covered in lush, green foliage that turns golden-yellow in autumn. Its attractive, peeling bark (ranging from cinnamon to creamy white) adds year-round interest, especially in winter. This small to medium sized deciduous tree thrives in moist, well-drained soil and tolerates heat and humidity better than many other birches. Ideal as a specimen near water, in woodland gardens or for softening hardscapes with its flowing form.
