Description
Acer palmatum ‘Stella Rossa’ is a stunning weeping Japanese maple valued for its deeply dissected, thread-like leaves that emerge bright red in spring, deepen to rich burgundy-purple through summer, and flare into vibrant scarlet in autumn. With a compact, umbrella-shaped habit, it typically matures around 2-3m tall and 3-4m wide, making it ideal as a focal specimen or container plant. This cultivar holds its colour exceptionally well even in summer heat. Prefers partial shade to full sun with moist, well-drained soil and some protection from strong winds.
